What are my options?

In-Person:

  • Generally leads to the best quality recording

  • Provides an organic feel to conversations and interviews

  • All speakers sound similar in timbre and quality

Remote Recording:

  • Convenient

  • Allows for easy interviews of people who don’t live near you

  • Makes keeping audio quality consistent difficult

  • Requires more technical work from those not being recorded in-studio

Tape Sync (Remote recording with a traveling engineer):

  • Great quality audio with the convenience of remote recording

  • Added expense

  • Requires scheduling an engineer for each location of the interview
